Frozen shredded hash browns vs fresh, the frozen ones won my breakfast trial
I did a side by side test last Saturday making breakfast tacos for my roommates, using frozen hash browns from the bag and fresh ones I grated myself. The frozen ones crisped up way faster and actually stayed crunchy on the tortilla, while the fresh ones turned into a soggy mess after 10 minutes. Has anyone else given up on fresh grating for this kind of shortcut, or am I just bad at drying potatoes?

Heard rinsing off the starch first helps a ton.
