My cat's full name is a 47 character legal document

So my partner named our cat before I got a say, and the shelter paperwork lists her as 'Princess Consuela Banana Hammock, Esquire, Defender of the Sock Drawer'. That's 47 characters if you count the spaces. I tried calling her just 'Hammock' for a week and she ignored me completely. Yesterday at the vet, they yelled the full name out and I had to explain to three strangers why my cat has a law degree. Is it too late to rename her something normal like 'Mittens', or do I just lean into the absurdity? Has anyone else ended up with a pet name that's basically a joke gone too far?

I heard a vet tech on a podcast say pets actually pick up on the tone and rhythm of their names more than the actual words, so a long silly name might work fine if you say it the same way every time. That's probably why Hammock flopped, it sounds nothing like the flow of the full thing. Maybe pick a short name that matches the beat of how you already call her, like Esquire or Princess, and she might switch over without a fuss.
