My dog's name confused the vet for a full 10 minutes
Back in 2009 I named my basset hound 'Sir Barksalot III' as a joke, and last month at the clinic in Tulsa they kept calling for a person named Sir until I finally waved from the corner. The tech asked if it was some sort of royal title and I had to explain it was just a dumb name I stuck with since college. Anyone else regret a pet name that sounds fancy but just causes chaos every time you're at an appointment?
That "Sir Barksalot III" bit sounds harmless until you're the one sitting in a waiting room while a stranger yells a knight's name at an empty chair. My neighbor named her cat Chairman Meow and the poor thing got flagged as a missing person at a hotel once because she wrote the name on a reservation. Fancy pet names are funny for about a week and then they just become paperwork.
