Spent 6 hours last Saturday hunting down why my oven kept tripping the breaker, turned out to be a $4 heating element
So I post my bad takes here sometimes but this time I need real help. I was baking bread for my sister's birthday and the oven died every 10 minutes, so I assumed the whole thing was shot and started pricing new ranges at the store on Bandera Road. I pulled the back panel off, tested everything with a cheap multimeter, and finally found a burnt out element that was shorting to the frame. Six hours of my Saturday and a pulled muscle in my back for a four dollar part. Now I'm second guessing every appliance I've ever thrown out, was I just too lazy to look?
