Buzzing wet hair is ruining your blades and your clients
I watched a guy at my shop in Austin run a #1 guard through damp hair after a wash and service. Then he wondered why his clippers tugged on the next 3 clients. Moisture gets into the blade hinge and dulls the edge way faster. Ive replaced 2 sets of blades this quarter because of this habit. Dry the hair completely or at least towel it hard before you lock in your guard. Has anyone else noticed their blades lasting less when they skip the dry step?
Man, that hits home... I learned this the hard way after ruining a brand new set of Wahl blades on a super damp head last summer, felt like such a waste. I started keeping a dry microfiber towel right by my station and now I give the hair a solid extra minute of toweling before I even think about grabbing a guard. That little extra step honestly saved me a ton of money and my clippers cut like new way longer now.
