Old timer told me to stop hot towel shaving, I should've listened

Guy who's been cutting hair in Cleveland since the 70s told me not to offer hot towel shaves on every service, said it slows you down and most guys just want a quick fade. I thought he was stuck in his ways, kept pushing it. Took a 20 minute hit on my schedule almost every day for a month before I realized he was right. Now I only offer it before 10 AM or if someone asks. Anyone else get solid advice from a senior barber that took a while to click?
