That $50 clipper case I bought is the worst money I spent this year

Everyone talks about cases protecting your tools. I figured spending a bit extra on a hard case for my travel kit was a no brainer. Paid $50 for one with foam inserts cut for specific clipper shapes. Three months in and the zipper already went. Foam started shedding bits into my trimmers too. My old canvas bag from a trade show in Denver held up better for 6 years. Whats the point of a fancy case if it falls apart faster than the tools it holds? Anyone else swear off the hard case route and stick with something cheaper?
