Serious question, who is designing soap dispensers that only squirt a thimble of foam?
I dropped $14 on a refillable foam soap bottle for my gym bag 3 weeks ago because the wall dispensers at my gym in Toledo give you maybe a pea sized blob per pump. I stood there pumping that thing 11 times trying to get enough lather and a guy waiting behind me just laughed. Now I carry my own bottle and it works fine, but I feel dumb for spending cash on a problem the gym should fix. Has anyone found a public restroom soap that actually gives you a normal amount on the first pump?
Honestly a pea sized amount is usually enough if you actually rub your hands together for 20 seconds like you're supposed to, so I'm not sure the gym is really the problem here. I've used those wall dispensers for years and yeah the first pump sucks but by pump two or three you get plenty. Carrying your own bottle is fine I guess, but $14 plus a gym bag that now has a soap bottle leaking in it seems like a lot of work for something you could fix by just pumping twice. Your mileage may vary though, maybe Toledo gyms are stingier than the ones I've been to.
