That blower in the restroom at the Denver airport nearly took my ears out
I was at gate B15 at DIA waiting on a delayed flight and ducked into the bathroom to wash my hands, and the second I hit the button on the dryer my right ear started ringing loud. I stood there for maybe 20 seconds because I couldn't find a paper towel anywhere, and by the time it shut off I could barely hear the gate agent call my row. I ended up asking the lady at the gift shop for a napkin just to dry my hands and she looked at me like I was nuts. My ear stayed stuffy for almost an hour after that, has anyone else had a dryer do that or did I just get unlucky with where I was standing?
Did you ever stand next to one of those old hand dryers that got so hot it felt like a hair dryer on your skin? Not the same thing I know but it reminds me of this time at a truck stop in Wyoming where the dryer was so loud I dropped my keys in the sink. I have a thing about loud noises anyway. Concerts, fireworks, leaf blowers, all of it makes me jump. My husband says I have bat ears. So when you say your ear rang for an hour that sounds awful. You are not crazy for asking the gift shop lady for a napkin either. Airports should just put paper towels back in the bathrooms.
