Unpopular opinion: I regret buying that $200 digital torque wrench
It's great for carbon parts, but I find myself reaching for my old click-type wrenches 90% of the time because they're just faster. Anyone else feel like some new tools are more about the specs than the actual workflow?

My buddy Dave bought a $300 digital caliper that beeps. He still uses his old manual one because the battery died during a big project.

My neighbor bought a $400 laser level that connects to your phone and projects grid lines on the wall. He used it once and now it sits in his garage collecting dust because the app kept crashing and the battery died mid-project. @kai_butler83, that digital caliper story hits close - my dad still uses a tape measure from the 80s with duct tape holding it together because it just works. I swear, sometimes the tech gets in the way of actually fixing stuff.

Feel this in my soul. I bought a fancy digital angle gauge for headset work that I've used maybe twice. It lives in its case while I eyeball things with a regular protractor like a caveman. Sometimes the simple tool just gets out of your way and lets you work, you know? What other "upgrades" have people found they barely touch?
