Appreciation post: My sister said something about 'slow burn' shows that stuck with me

She told me she finally watched 'The Bear' and said 'I think I was just too impatient for it before... letting it build is the whole point.' It made me realize I've been skipping shows that don't hook me in the first 10 minutes. Anyone else have a show they learned to love on a second try?

Yeah, I totally get that. I almost gave up on a few shows because they didn't grab me right away. Letting a story build its own pace can be really rewarding, even if it takes a bit of patience. Your sister's point about that being the whole idea is a good one.
