Finally gave 'The Great British Bake Off' a shot after years of ignoring it
I was stuck on a 12-hour delivery shift last Saturday and listened to an episode through earbuds while driving, and the sheer calmness of people just baking without yelling at each other hooked me completely - how do other stressful shows compare for anyone else?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. It's such a relief to watch people be nice to each other. No screaming or backstabbing. Just cakes and quiet tension over whether the souffle will rise. I love that you listened to it during a long drive too. Makes the hours go by without all the drama. Really changes what you expect from a competition show.

Ditch the TV version if you want to keep your blood pressure normal. I tried watching one of those screaming chef shows once and turned it off after ten minutes. Podcasts or audio versions let you focus on the good stuff like the baking without all the fake drama. For long drives, I load up a whole season and just let it play back to back. It's way more relaxing than any true crime show that's for sure.
