The one Netflix show a stranger at the laundromat put me onto

I was folding socks at the 24-hour laundromat on Grand Ave last Tuesday, and this older guy pointed at my phone and asked what I was watching. I said some crime documentary, and he just shook his head and told me to try 'The Capture' instead because it was actually clever. He said he binged the whole first season in one night after his wife went to bed. I tried it the next day and he was totally right, it messed with my head in a good way. Anyone else had a random stranger give them a show recommendation that actually worked out?

Ha that guy telling you "it was actually clever" is exactly how I got put onto Dark on Netflix by some random dude at a bus stop lol. He said "trust me it's clever" and I still think about that show years later.

Best advice I ever got was to always ask what they liked about it, not just if it's good.

Ruby that's a good point, but asking what they liked also depends on who you ask.
