PSA: My brother in law said my phone was slowing down on purpose, so I checked the battery settings myself
He swore Apple throttles old phones to force upgrades. I said that's a myth. Then I actually looked it up on my iPhone 11 and turns out there IS a setting that caps performance when your battery health drops. Mine was at 78% and I had no clue. Phone felt slow for months and I was blaming the apps. So is it the tech being sneaky or me never reading a single settings menu in 4 years? Anyone else find this out the hard way?
