Set my alarm 10 minutes early for a week and somehow got to work later every single day
I read that giving yourself a buffer in the morning makes you less rushed, so I set my alarm for 6:50 instead of 7:00 starting last Monday. Instead of using those 10 minutes to get ahead, I just laid there scrolling on my phone and still left the house at the same time, except now I was annoyed too. Turns out the alarm was never the problem, my brain just fills whatever space I give it. Has anyone actually made an earlier alarm work, or is the move just to put the phone across the room?
Man, I did the exact same thing for two weeks straight. The phone across the room works because you have to stand up to shut it off, and once you're up, you're up. Ten extra minutes in bed is a trap, your brain just eats it.
