Swore by paper planners for 15 years, then a $9 app changed my mind

I used to buy a new paper planner every January from Staples, like clockwork. Carried it everywhere, wrote everything in pencil, and cursed whenever I forgot it at home. Last October my phone got stolen and the replacement had this free calendar app preloaded, so I just tried it out of laziness. Within two weeks I was setting reminders with alerts that actually went off, no more losing my to-do list between the couch cushions. Has anyone else made the switch and found they genuinely miss the physical act of writing things down, or am I just weird?

It does feel weird at first when the pencil and paper habit dies, but once you get used to alerts firing at the right time you stop missing the scribbling." Try keeping a small notepad next to your bed for a week just for the "brain dump" feeling, that’s what got me over the hump.
