Grandma told me I was folding fitted sheets wrong for 25 years
She showed me the corner tuck method where you fold the elastic sides together first and it actually stays flat. Anybody else get handed down a skill that made you feel like an idiot for decades?

Wait are people actually getting emotional about onion cutting techniques now?

My grandpa spent 20 years telling me I was slicing onions wrong. He showed me this trick where you leave the root end on and cut lengthwise first, and I almost cried thinking about all those uneven onion rings I made for chili.

...and then you found out he'd been keeping that gem from you for TWO DECADES? My grandad did the same thing with how to properly peel a mango. Did he at least apologize for all those ugly onion pieces you had to eat? The root trick is such a game changer though, my chili game went from sad to restaurant quality overnight.
