Guy at my Wednesday game night called Catan 'a solved game for people who hate fun'
There's a regular at my Wednesday group in Denver who won't touch Catan and when I asked why he waved his hand and gave me that line about it being a solved game for people who hate fun. The thing is he then sat there for 40 minutes watching us trade sheep and looked more into it than anyone at the table. So now I'm wondering if the people who dunk on gateway games the hardest are the ones who secretly miss playing them?
