Just realized I wasted two days on a bad flange gasket
Used a cheap off-brand gasket on a 300 psi steam line at the old paper mill in Everett. It blew after three hours and cost me a full day's labor plus a $150 rush order for the right part. What's your go-to brand for high pressure stuff?

Switched to Flexitallic spiral wounds and never looked back.

Yeah, "never looked back" is the real truth there. We ran those on some nasty high-cycle steam lines and they just held. I mean, the initial cost stung a bit, but you stop counting after the first time you don't have to re-torque everything. Total game changer for reliability.

Are those the ones with the graphite inner ring?
