Brought the wrong book to a heated book club debate and it got ugly fast
I was at Jen's house in Portland last Tuesday for our monthly debate and I realized 20 minutes in that I grabbed my copy of 'The Left Hand of Darkness' instead of the assigned book. Everyone was yelling about character motivations from a book I hadn't even read. I just sat there quiet until someone called me out and I had to admit it. Has anyone else shown up to a debate with zero preparation like this?

Yeah that's rough, I once showed up to a trivia night and realized I was at the wrong bar team.

That's brutal, man. I once brought the wrong hard drive to a LAN party and had to admit I couldn't play anything while everyone else was blasting through matches.
