Switched sides on the great audiobook vs physical book debate after a road trip

I used to be the guy who swore physical books were the only real way to read. Then I drove from Seattle to Portland last month, 3 hours each way, and finished two audiobooks in that time. The narrator's voice for the main character in one of them actually made the story better than when I tried reading it on paper. I still miss underlining passages, but now I keep a notebook for that. Has anyone else had a specific trip or moment that flipped their stance on this?

Hold on, I actually had the opposite experience. I tried an audiobook on that same drive and the narrator's voice was so dull it put me to sleep, I almost missed my exit.

Totally agree about the narrator making it better, that Seattle to Portland drive completely changed my mind too.
