Hot take: AI art generators are killing creativity, not helping it

Yeah but typing prompts into Google search was never about creating something new, it was about finding something that already existed. This is different because people are actually selling AI art now and pretending they made it. I get the whole "it's just a tool" argument but tools don't usually do all the work for you while you stand there and watch. If I paid a guy to paint a picture and then signed my name on it, that ain't me being creative either. It's not like I'm losing sleep over it but pretending this is the same as learning to paint or draw feels like a stretch to me.

Had to explain to my grandma that her 'smart fridge' wasn't spying on her...

The fridge is 100% listening and nobody can convince me otherwise.

Found an old survey that said most bullet journal users keep their first notebook for under 6 months

Nah come on man, @derek_schmidt6 already laughed at how weird this is and I'm with him. Why does it bug you that people find it strange? If someone's tracking every single thing they do in a journal, thats a bit much even for a productivity nerd like me. I get that bullet journaling helps some people stay organized but the whole "most users" thing sounds like youre trying to defend a hobby that doesnt need defending. If I was tracking my bathroom breaks in a notebook and my buddy called it out id just say "yeah its kinda dumb but it works for me" instead of getting defensive. So whats the real hang up here?

Outreach email got flagged as spam by 80% of my targets last month

Oh man, I feel you on this one! It's so frustrating when you do everything right and still get blocked. @juliag10 nailed it with that trust analogy too, it really is like building a relationship from scratch. I had a similar experience myself recently. I used a brand new subdomain for a campaign and even though I warmed it up for two weeks, it still landed in spam for half my list. Had to switch back to my main domain with a proven track record just to get decent delivery. It's a real headache but you're not alone in this struggle.
