Bought a $20 movie ticket for a 3-hour epic, left after 45 minutes for a walk
I went to see that new space opera last Tuesday, the one everyone said was a masterpiece. 45 minutes in, the third slow-motion shot of a ship drifting made me check my phone, and I realized I was more invested in the snack prices than the plot. I got up, walked out, and spent the next 2 hours just wandering the mall food court. Now I'm wondering if I'm broken or if long movies are just not for me anymore. Has anyone else ditched a hyped film mid-showing and felt fine about it, or do I need to give it another try at home?
