Grandma's cooking made a dollar stretch further than any app can today
Remember when a big pot of beans and a sack of potatoes were the base of everything. Now everyone acts like you need a dozen fancy ingredients from some special store just to make soup. Her food was simple, cheap, and it fed a crowd without a second thought. I feel like we overcomplicate saving money now.

Heck, modern life with its weird hours and jobs makes that simple cooking way harder to pull off now.

Yeah, my cousin does shift work at the hospital, and even planning a basic pasta dish becomes impossible. It's not just the time, it's how random hours completely wreck any kind of routine for grocery shopping or prep.

Why does every simple task now come with a pile of extra steps and sign-ups? We turned feeding a family into a complex game of meal kits, delivery windows, and digital coupons. I watch people spend more time chasing deals on their phone than it takes to just cook a pot of beans. The old way worked because it cut out all the noise we've added back in.
