Bought a $10 camping towel for hostels in Bangkok and it saved my trip

I picked up this microfiber towel at a random 7-Eleven after checking into a hostel that didn't provide any. It dried fast, packed small, and kept me from having to drip dry across the bunk room. Anyone else found a cheap item that made a big difference traveling?

Was that 7-Eleven towel actually absorbent enough to dry your whole body after a shower?

My buddy Mike bought one of those on a road trip once. He swore it was like trying to dry off with a slightly damp paper towel. Just kind of pushed the water around instead of actually soaking it up. Ended up using the car's heater on full blast for like 20 minutes to finish the job. Never saw him buy a convenience store towel again after that...
