Stop hiding your emergency fund in the same account as checking
I see way too many people saying they saved 3 months expenses but its sitting in their daily checking account. That money is too easy to spend. I moved mine to a separate high-yield account at a different bank and it cut my impulse spending by half. Anyone else do this or just keep it all together?

Oh man, I actually had a friend who kept her whole 6-month fund in a jar on her nightstand. She called it her "break glass in case of emergency" jar but the cat knocked it over and she spent it all on pizza delivery.

Wait, you're saying people keep THREE MONTHS of expenses in a CHECKING account?! That's INSANE to me, it's way too easy to blow through. I moved mine to a separate savings at a different bank and it was the best thing I ever did.
