The cashier who caught my double charge on a $47 grocery run

Last Thursday at the Kroger on 5th, I grabbed a bag of coffee that scanned twice at self-checkout. The older guy running the register area walked over, tapped the screen, and said "that's $7.50 you almost gave them for nothing." It stuck with me because I'd have caught it later on the receipt anyway, but he saved me the hassle right then. Since then I've started watching the screen line by line instead of just swiping my card. Anyone else had a stranger or employee spot a mistake that kept your budget on track?
