Am I the only one who ditched fancy spreads and just uses a single index card as a brain dump, and it fixed my whole month? | Bullet Journaling - Opinions Matter
Am I the only one who ditched fancy spreads and just uses a single index card as a brain dump, and it fixed my whole month?
I kept falling behind on my weekly spreads because setting up all those boxes and trackers every Sunday night took me almost 90 minutes, so I gave up and started tossing one 5x8 index card in my back pocket with whatever pops into my head. Last month in Denver I filled 14 of those cards and actually crossed off more tasks than I did in the previous two months with my old dotted notebook, mostly because I stopped worrying about how it looked. Does anyone else keep a separate dump card or sticky note instead of building it into the journal itself, or am I just making more work for myself later?
I get this completely. I spent years fighting with those elaborate weekly setups and honestly the pressure of keeping them pretty was killing my actual productivity. One card in your pocket beats a perfect spread you never want to touch.
