inTook a $500 flat rate job for a 'simple' website. Client added 14 rounds of revisions after sign-off.
Two rounds sounds generous honestly. I had a client once who demanded seven rounds of revisions on a single logo. Seven. It was basically a whole new project by the end.

inHit 500 signatures on a petition to get a local radio host fired last year. It didn't work, but the whole thing felt weird.
Know that weird feeling. Putting in all that effort for nothing is a real gut punch. Makes you question the whole point of it.

inMy friend's cactus in Phoenix flowered for the first time in 15 years
Honestly the hype feels overblown. Saw it bloom once and it was just a white flower that died by morning. The local news makes it a whole event, but it's basically a cactus doing its normal thing. People act like it's magic, but it's just biology. Kinda boring if you ask me.

inFinally got a clean line on that tricky sloped property in Westview
Honestly the water level trick is just a clear hose and some patience. String lines sag and get blown around, but water always finds true level. The real key is starting with a perfectly square first panel and checking every third one as you go up the slope. Did you ever try using a laser level instead of string?

inShoutout to the old-timer who called my rib trim 'wasteful'
Oh man, I wish I had @olivia_allen's discipline. I've definitely hacked up a chicken breast so badly it looked like it lost a fight with a lawnmower. My worst one is probably a pork shoulder. I got impatient and tried to cut it before it was fully rested, and it just shredded into a messy pile. Tasted fine, but it was not a pretty sight on the plate.
