Just realized my bullet journal was making me anxious instead of calm

I was sitting at my desk in my apartment last Tuesday night, stressing over my weekly spread because I messed up the lines and the colors didn't match. I spent 45 minutes trying to fix a tiny ink smudge instead of actually planning my week. Finally I just ripped that page out and wrote a simple list of three things I needed to do the next day. It worked way better than the fancy layout I was trying to force. Has anyone else found that simplifying your bujo actually helps more than the elaborate spreads?

My bullet journal is basically a stress test disguised as a to-do list.

Did you catch that article on how bullet journals actually work better for project managers than creative types @laura189? I heard it on a podcast and it totally explains why mine just makes me feel behind all the time.
