My bumper sticker got ruined after just 3 days in the sun

Bought a funny one from a gas station in Phoenix last week - said 'I'm silently judging your driving.' Looked great on my Civic but after 3 days of that desert sun it was already peeling and faded. I tried a clear coat spray on top but I think I just made it worse. Anyone else have luck keeping stickers from fading in hot climates?

Honestly this is just how it goes with cheap gas station stuff. They make those stickers for the warehouse shelf not the Arizona sun. Kinda like how everything cheap is designed to last just long enough to get your money.

My dad's old Craftsman socket set is 30 years old and still works perfect, but a pack of 10 screwdrivers I grabbed from a checkout lane last month - the handles started cracking before I even got them home. It's like how dollar store extension cords will power a lamp for an hour but catch fire if you plug in a space heater. They build everything to hit that exact price point and fail right around the time the warranty runs out. Everything's designed by accountants now instead of engineers.
