inWhy does nobody mention how architects sometimes mark things in weird spots?
Ngl, I used to give architects the benefit of the doubt on stuff like that. I figured there was always some logical reason, like a building code or structural thing I just didn't get. But then I saw a set of plans where they put a vent right behind where a sink was supposed to be. No way to hook it up. Changed my mind completely. Some of em really are just throwing stuff on paper and calling it a day.

inVisited a bakery in Portland that uses only whole wheat flour
Actually I read somewhere that whole wheat flour actually absorbs more water than white flour, so you'd need to really jack up the hydration to even get close to a decent laminated dough. Someone on a bread forum I lurk on said they had to add almost 20% more water just to get the dough pliable enough for folding without tearing. That might be the trick that bakery figured out, but I still bet those croissants come out heavier than the traditional ones no matter what you do with the hydration levels.

Is it really that big of a deal though? I mean you just cancel before the renewal date. Set a reminder on your phone. Takes 30 seconds. Most services send you like 5 emails before they charge you anyway. Unless you're the type who ignores everything.
