That 'I'm a feminist but...' bumper sticker made me rethink my stance

Saw a car in the Target parking lot last week with a sticker that said 'I'm a feminist but I still want my husband to open doors for me.' At first I rolled my eyes... but then I got to thinking about it. My sister says that kind of thing is just reinforcing old stereotypes, but the woman driving that car looked happy and normal. I overheard her tell a friend that she believes in equal pay and rights, but also likes traditional gestures because they feel respectful, not controlling. That combo actually makes sense to me now. I used to think you had to pick a side on every little thing, but maybe you can just pick and choose what works for you. Has anyone else softened their stance after seeing a bumper sticker like that?
