The 'Coexist' sticker crowd is the worst drivers on the road
Saw a Prius with six peace stickers and a Coexist decal cut me off on I-35 in Austin last Tuesday. Nearly side-swiped my work van. I've kept a tally for 3 months, 11 out of 14 road rage incidents involved some kind of love-and-tolerance bumper art. Irony is dead. Anyone else notice the aggressive drivers all have the gentle messages?

Been driving in Austin traffic for 12 years and my take is the opposite of yours. What I see is people in big trucks and SUVs tailgating, weaving, and speeding way more than anyone in a small car with stickers. Your 11 out of 14 stat is just what you noticed because the stickers made those cars stand out to you. That's how our brains work, we remember the thing that fits the story we already believe. A Prius with peace signs cutting you off sticks in your head, but the hundred other aggressive drivers without bumper art just blend together. Plus Austin has like a million people moving here every week, so a sample of 14 incidents over 3 months is basically nothing. I'm not saying those drivers are angels, but blaming a bumper sticker for bad driving is a stretch.
