Update: I copied a stranger's "Honk if you love Jesus" sticker idea and it backfired at a car wash in Reno
I put one of those "Honk if you love Jesus" stickers on my Corolla after seeing maybe 30 of them in Reno parking lots, figuring it was a safe, friendly message. Within two days some guy in a lifted Ram laid on his horn behind me at a red light for a full 10 seconds, then rolled down his window yelling that my sticker was "false advertising" because I drive a Toyota with a Biden sticker I forgot to peel off. Now I'm wondering, does the message on the back of your car have to actually match your life, or is that asking too much of a bumper sticker?
Ever see a bumper sticker as a binding contract? I had a Darwin fish on my old Civic for years and nobody ever pulled me over to quiz me on evolution. The sticker is just a thing you stick on your car, not a sworn statement about your whole life, and honestly the guy in the Ram was just looking for a reason to yell at someone. Peel it off if it bugs you, but you didn't do anything wrong.
