TIL saw palmetto takes like 6 months to actually work for hair loss

I was looking into natural stuff for my thinning hair and read on a dermatology site that saw palmetto can take up to 6 months to show any results. Most people give up after a month or two because they don't see anything. I'm thinking about trying it but that timeline feels really long. Has anyone here stuck with it that long and actually seen a difference?

Oh man, I feel your pain with that wait. I stuck with it for about 8 months and honestly it didn't do much for me, but my friend saw decent results around month 5. She went from a patchy spot filling in to actual new baby hairs, so I'd say if you can stick it out it might be worth a shot.

Respectfully, I see it a little different. 8 months is a serious investment and if you didn't see anything by then, your experience is just as valid as your friend's. People chase those success stories but sometimes your body just doesn't respond to the stuff.
