Update: my neighbor Dave swore the $40 Harbor Freight tile saw would be fine for one bathroom, he was wrong
Dave told me not to rent the $65 a day wet saw at the place on 5th and just grab the cheap one since it was one small bathroom floor. The blade wobbled so bad by tile 12 that every cut was chipped and I burned through two blades and a whole Saturday. Ended up renting the real saw anyway and finished in 3 hours. Anyone else get talked into the cheap tool for a one time job and regret it?
The real issue is you burn a whole day on the cheap saw when your time is worth way more than the $25 you saved. I stopped pretending my weekend is free a long time ago.
