Attic ladder hinge broke while I was up top in Wichita
I was pulling a new drop through an attic last Tuesday in Wichita and the folding ladder hinge snapped right as I hit the top rung. The whole thing folded shut and I had to hang from the joist and kick my way out through a side gable vent. Took a 12 foot stick ladder off the truck to get down, but now I check every attic ladder before I even step on it. Anyone else had a close call with a cheap pull-down that made you change your setup routine?
