Hot take: rg6 quad shield is overkill for 90% of home runs
Pulled a job last month in Mesa where the guy had 4 TVs and a modem, and my lead insisted on quad shield for every single run. We burned through 500 ft of the stuff at almost double the price of standard rg6, and the signal readings were basically identical to what plain rg6 gives. Unless you're running past a bunch of electrical or doing long outdoor pulls, you're just lighting money on fire. Anyone here actually seen quad shield fix a problem that regular rg6 couldn't handle?
