I used to say compression fittings were fine on buried lines until I saw the county spec sheet
Was reading the spec sheet for a job in Mesa last Tuesday and it says all underground coax runs have to be direct bury rated, no exceptions, or the inspector fails the whole drop. Spent two days redoing 6 runs I'd already buried with regular compression ends, and honestly the inspector was right to flag it. Anyone got a trick for pulling direct bury through conduit that's already half full of dirt?
