Changed my tune on the $5,000 espresso machine

I was dead set on a fancy Italian brand for the new shop, but my roaster in Tacoma told me to try a refurbished La Marzocco instead. Saved over two grand and it pulls a better shot, anyone have luck with other refurbished gear?

What year is your refurbished La Marzocco? I've been looking at used grinders too.

Oh man, you're asking me to remember a date? Mine's a 2017 Linea Mini that looked like it had lived a hard life before the spa treatment. The refurb was so good I sometimes forget it's not brand new. You find some real horror stories out there though, don't you?
