PSA: Don't fall for that 'premium' coffee bean subscription trap

I signed up for a roaster's monthly delivery, $45 a bag, and the beans were burnt and oily after the first shipment. Customer service ghosted me when I asked for a refund. Anyone else get burned by one of these subscription services?

$45 is steep for beans that sound like they came from a gas station.

Grabbed a bag from a local roaster for half that and they were perfectly fine for drip. Might be worth hunting around smaller shops before dropping that much.
