Shoutout to finally fixing our iced coffee tap line
The thing kept foaming and pouring flat for a solid month. Figured out it was a tiny crack in the line letting in air, cost about $40 in parts to replace. Anyone else wrestle with their draft system for way too long?

Forget the foam, what about the taste? That tiny crack letting in air wasn't just making it flat, it was probably letting the whole drink oxidize. Your coffee could have been picking up weird, stale notes for that whole month. You fixed more than the pour, you saved the flavor. Isn't that the whole point of a tap line?

Forty bucks and a month of bad coffee sounds like a bargain compared to some setups. Some of these commercial draft systems are way overbuilt for what they do. A little foam never hurt anyone, it’s basically a free head on your drink. Chasing perfect pressure and zero bubbles turns into a hobby, not a fix. Sometimes you just gotta live with a system that’s good enough.
