I finally saw what a proper sensor clean can do for an old DSLR
A customer brought in a Nikon D7000 last week that had been sitting in a closet for about two years. The sensor was a mess, with big dust spots showing up in every sky shot. After a careful wet clean with Eclipse fluid and Pec-Pads, the test shots looked brand new. The difference in just an hour was huge, and the owner couldn't believe it. Has anyone else found a particular cleaning method that works best on older sensors like this?

Seems like a lot of fuss for some dust. Most editing software can just zap those spots out in two seconds.

Remember that time my cousin scanned all our old family photos. The software auto-fixed the big tears and stains, but it also "fixed" my grandpa's distinctive birthmark on his cheek. Made his face look weird and generic. Sometimes the fix removes the thing that made the picture real.
