That $120 ultrasonic cleaner turned out to be a dust collector until I tried it on a sticky shutter

Sticky shutter, you say? That thing must have been crusted over pretty good if it took an ultrasonic bath to sort it out. I’ve got an old camera where the blades freeze up every few months, and I just tap it with a pencil. Maybe I’m missing out on a better fix, but the price of those machines always scared me off.

Honestly the pencil tap is pretty much what I do too, just with a screwdriver handle. I tried one of those cheap ultrasonic cleaners once and it didn't do anything the can of air and a drop of lighter fluid couldn't. Maybe it's just me, but I think the machines are only worth it if you're doing this all the time.
