Tried using a dab of super glue to hold a tiny aperture lever in place while I worked

It set way faster than I thought and now the whole assembly is stuck solid. What's your go-to temporary adhesive for these little jobs?

Try a tiny bit of beeswax next time.

Oh man, that's the worst. I once used a drop of rubber cement for something like that on an old radio dial. Held it just long enough to get the spring in, then peeled right off when I was done. Worked like a charm.
