Bought a $40 solar phone charger that was basically a paperweight
Took it on a three day trip to the Red River Gorge and it barely got my phone to 20% after a full day in the sun. I ended up having to borrow a buddy's power bank anyway. What's a solar charger that actually works without perfect conditions?

Yeah, it's that classic tech trap where the idea is way better than the real thing (like those "waterproof" bags that aren't). Most of those small solar panels just can't gather enough power unless it's direct, perfect sun all day. You're honestly better off with a big, dumb power bank you know will work.
