Just noticed my old sleeping bag has 200 nights on it
I bought it for a trip to Yellowstone in 2017 and it's been everywhere since. Anyone else have a piece of gear that just won't quit?

That's a solid run for a sleeping bag. What's the brand and model? I'm always curious which ones actually hold up to that kind of real-world use, especially after being stuffed and unstuffed so many times.

No way, that's awesome! My old backpacking tent is like that. Got it for a trip in 2015 and it's been through so many storms, from the Rockies to just getting left in my trunk. The zipper is kinda funny now but it still keeps the rain out every single time. Some gear just becomes part of the story, lol.

Honestly I'm on the other side of this. Gear that old is probably way less warm and safe than you think, even if it looks fine. The insulation breaks down over time from all that packing and moisture, so you could be freezing and not even know it until a really cold night. It's cool that it has memories, but holding onto it for sentimental reasons seems risky when new tech is so much better and lighter.
