Remember when that skincare influencer pushed DIY vitamin C scrubs? My friend Jess actually tried it and her skin burned for days. She kept using it too because the influencer swore the redness meant it was working. Jess finally saw a dermatologist who told her the recipe was way too acidic. It's scary how much trust we put in these people before they get caught.

Yeah, about people still following them after they get called out - it's like some folks would rather double down than admit they trusted a liar (which is a wild choice, honestly).
