Guy in my bowling league got called out at league night for a Facebook post from 3 years ago, and now half the alley won't talk to him
Last month at our Thursday league in Akron he lost his team and his spot on the board over a joke he already apologized for in 2022, so I gotta ask: is there any timeline where a 3 year old post should still cost you your Tuesday nights, or is that just how it works now?
Three years is a long time, man. I bowled a 187 average back in 2021 and I can barely remember what pins I left, so how's some guy supposed to remember a joke he typed out before the last World Series? The apology was in 2022, that's two whole years of the guy showing up, buying the beer, and helping clean up the lanes. If the league board can dig up old posts and boot people over them, then nobody in Akron is safe, including whoever runs the Facebook page. Half the alley giving him the cold shoulder over something from 2021 sounds less like a rule and more like people just wanted a reason to be mad. At some point you gotta let a guy roll.
